In today’s world, where global challenges are often accompanied by religious tensions, polarization, and cultural conflicts, interfaith dialogue becomes increasingly important. Kazakhstan, by initiating the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, has established itself as a unique platform for peaceful cooperation among representatives of different faiths.
The interactive historical and documentary online exhibition “Interfaith Dialogue for Peace and Harmony” introduces visitors to archival materials preserved in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Documents, rare photographs, video chronicles, and digital publications trace the history of the Congress, which brought together religious leaders from across the globe on Kazakh soil. These materials reflect their aspiration for mutual understanding, tolerance, and peace.
The purpose of the exhibition is to highlight the significance of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, to demonstrate its role in strengthening interfaith dialogue, and to show its influence on the development of the global community.
The presented exhibits emphasize Kazakhstan’s role as an initiator and mediator in global interreligious dialogue, while the exhibition itself becomes an educational and enlightening space that fosters a culture of respect and trust among peoples.
The mission of the project is to preserve and pass on to future generations the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and dialogue through archival memory and modern forms of presenting information.
